A Topsham woman is accused of assaulting her ex-boyfriend with a toaster, leaving him with a cut on his neck.

Samantha Schrader, 21, was arrested Saturday and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault and domestic violence criminal mischief, reports the Bangor Daily News.

The ex-boyfriend told police Schrader also threatened him with a knife and trashed his apartment.

When officers arrived on the scene, they say they discovered that someone had tipped over furniture and smashed a computer and a fish tank inside the apartment.

Schrader said she was upset because they had recently broken up and she believed he was seeing a 16-year-old.

She denies threatening the man with a knife. She was scheduled to make her initial court appearance Wednesday in Knox County Unified Court.
