A Bangor woman who was reported missing along with her two young children has died in a crash on Interstate 95, police said.

Liza Parker, 26, of Bangor, and her two children, 5-year-old old Mason Worcester and 18-month-old Tiaona Robinson, were reported missing after Parker failed to show up in Howland to meet her ex-husband with the children.

Police say Parker died in a crash that was discovered Monday along Interstate 95 in Old Town.

Police said the crash likely occurred Sunday. Parker's Mazda station wagon went off the road on a curve, vaulted over the crossover in the median, became airborne and then overturned several times before coming to rest on its side.

The car was about 50 feet from the road in thick woods and not visible to most passersby, according to the release from Maine State Police.

The children, who were found in their car seats, survived the crash and were being treated Monday at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
