A toddler who went missing Sunday was found in a farm pond.

Corporal John MacDonald with the Maine Warden Service says the four-year-old boy was found deceased late Sunday afternoon in the pond near his home. Wardens were called at around 4:30 in the afternoon, when the Somerset County Sheriff's Office called for assistance with the search.

The victim was later identified as Maxwell Brawn, 4.

Ground searchers and a Maine State Police K-9 team led searchers to the farm pond that was located next door on the boy's uncle's property. Divers entered the water and recovered the boy's body just before 7:00 Sunday evening.

His body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for further examination. The toddler's name is being withheld until more family can be contacted. The Warden Service was assisted by the Maine State Police, Somerset County Sheriff's Office, Dexter Fire, St. Albans Fire, Hartland Fire, and Sebasticook Valley Ambulance.
