A psychiatric patient who escaped from a facility in Westbrook this week has been located in New Hampshire.

The Portland Press Herald reports 41-year-old Maurice Pelissier was recognized when he went to a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Dover, New Hampshire. He became disorderly with the staff when they refused to give him a New Hampshire I.D. card and police were called when the staffer recognized him from an image posted on the Westbrook Police Department's Facebook page.

Police were looking for Pelissier after he fled from the facility in Westbrook, where he was recently committed against his will. His photo had been circulated to the media in hopes that someone would recognize him and contact police. When he was found in New Hampshire, police took him to a hospital for evaluation. He will be returned to Maine.
