Most Popular Pet Names – Is Your Pet On The List?

The Old Farmer's Almanac has published its list of most popular pet names for 2015. Is your pet's name here? I guarantee my dog's name is not on the list!

Our dog's name is Copernicus, or Pernicus for short. He's named after the Renaissance mathematician and astronomer who was the first to formulate a model of the universe that put the sun in the center, rather than the Earth. Of course, in one of the 'Back to the Future' movies, Doc Brown has a dog named Copernicus, too! It's unique and suits his personality completely.

We also have a dog named Lola. Her name is often on these lists, but not on this one. She was named after the 'Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola' song, not Barry Manilow's song. She used to have a 'brother' named Floyd...for Pink Floyd, not the bartender on 'Mayberry RFD.' His name wasn't on any lists, either.
