Mysterious Woman in Black Walking Across America [VIDEO]

A woman dressed all in black has been seen walking in several states recently. The reason for her solitary trek is a bit of a mystery but her brother recently shed a little light on who she is.

Yahoo! News reports that the woman's name is Elizabeth Poles and she is a 56-year-old widow, mother of two, Army veteran. Since July 18th, a Facebook site that's been tracking her journey has followed her from Ranger, Georgia to Athens, Ohio.

Her brother, Raymond Poles, told Reuters that she's been receiving treatment at Veterans Affairs hospitals to deal with the deaths of her husband and her father in 2008/2009. Poles says he wishes she would come home and let them help her.

The Facebook page, 'Where is the Mysterious Woman in Black' asks residents of the towns she passes through to offer her a drink or a meal and to be kind to her.
