NASA's Photo of the Day archive is pretty amazing. They feature everything from the insides of some of the world's most famous spaceships, to images of galaxies that are billions of years old and untold lightyears away. The photoblog even shares some of the images from the Mars Rover as he makes his way across the red planet in search of Matt Damon.

Today, the photoblog is featuring stunning HD images of Acadia National Park from space.

Acadia National Park is one of the most visited parks in America, drawing more than 2.5 million visitors per year to the craggy, jagged coast of Maine. The park is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016. On September 6, 2015, the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on the Landsat 8 satellite acquired these images of the park and its surroundings."
