National Weather Service Advisory Issued for Bangor, Freezing Rain in Forecast

The National Weather Service this morning issued a winter weather advisory for Bangor and much of eastern and northern Maine, calling for a mixed bag of precipitation.

The forecast is calling for snow, sleet and freezing rain resulting in 1-3 inches of snow along with a tenth of an inch of ice.

The snow is expected to change to sleet and freezing rain early Wednesday afternoon.

The advisory will remain in effect until 4 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25.
