Navy’s Blue Angels to Return to Maine in 2017

Looks like we have to wait another year for the next Great State of Maine Air Show.

A fan favorite, the Navy's Blue Angels aerobatics team, will return to Maine for the Great State of Maine Air Show. The bummer, you'll have to wait until 2017.

The next show is slated for the weekend of August 26-27, 2017.

After the closure of the Brunswick Naval Air Station attendance to the show dropped from about 10,000 fans to 25,000. This was mostly due to a newly implemented gate fee to watch the show.

The most recent show was this past summer. Going forward, officials say the Great State of Maine Air Show will take place ever other year in Brunswick.
