New England Patriots Maine License Plates

You might be seeing these on the roads soon.

Loons, Chickadees, Lobsters, Black Bears, Conservation, Pet Adoption, Breast Cancer Awareness and now The Pats. We have lots of different types of license plates here in Maine. Soon you can show off your Patriots pride on the open road.

For now, the plates are available for pre-order. 2,000 pre-orders are needed before they can be put into production. Massachusetts and Rhode Island drivers are already proudly displaying their Pats plates on the road.

The plates are $35, plus the regular registration fees. $25 go into the state’s general fund, $10 goes to the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.

According to the Patriots official website: 'All orders will be held and produced when the Patriots license plates law is passed and finalized. When the law is passed and plates begin production, each person who placed a preorder will be mailed a voucher, which is transferable. They then can bring to the DMV to be placed on the list to have their plate created.'
