New Invention Reads Any Text To You
Developed by the Media Lab's Fluid Interfaces group at MIT, this new prototype allows anyone wearing it to scan text with their finger and hear out loud what it says. It also has a motion sensor that keeps you following along smoothly. Although it isn’t ready to be sold in stores yet the video shows the kind of things this could be used for including translation applications. Wow.
