Apple iPhone users beware: A new phishing scam is tricking people into giving up their Apple passwords and other personal information.

According to reports, victims receive an unsolicited message which claims to come from Apple.

They are instructed to immediately change their Apple ID password before it expires, and are directed to a legitimate-looking website where they are asked to input their username and password. Don't fall for it!

Apple's webpage states clearly:  users should “never send credit card information, account passwords, or extensive personal information in an email unless you verify that the recipient is who they claim to be,” and you can presume this goes for messages received via text as well.
