There's a new phone scam hitting Mainers!

According to a company called Maine Identity Services, which has provided the following information to various area law enforcement agencies, scammers are calling folks and identifying themselves as being from the Federal Trade Commission.  They bring up the breach of the United States Office of Personnel Management, in which the personal data of 20+ million people was stolen.

The scammers say that they have money for the victims of the breach, and all that YOU need to do is give the person calling some information.

These people are NOT from the Federal Trade Commission!

It's ALWAYS a very good idea not to give ANYONE that calls personal information.  Do a little investigating of your own first!
