New York Men Arrested for Selling Crack Cocaine in Maine
State Police say two men from New York have been arrested for selling crack cocaine in Maine. $30,000 worth of the drug was seized in the raid.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that agents searched a room at the Super 8 Motel in Lewiston on Friday. The search was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking out of area motels over the last month.
Seized out of the room were scales, drug packaging materials, marijuana, and 290 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $30,000. Agents also found $1,200 in cash suspected of being drug proceeds.
Two men from Brooklyn, New York were arrested. Joshua Bonnett, 23, and Marquis Aiken, 22, were each charged with one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Crack Cocaine).
