If you visit the SPCA of Hancock County, you may see a pair of deer leaping blissfully through the snow in the play yard... oh wait, those aren't deer!  Meet Nikki and Juno!

They're actually a pair of German Shepherd mixes, but they move so gracefully that we have a hard time thinking of them as dogs instead of deer.

Nikki and Juno are sisters, and they're as closely bonded as we have ever seen two dogs be. When they arrived at the shelter, they were thin and terrified. Now they have started gaining both weight and confidence. Despite their fear, Nikki and Juno are incredibly gentle dogs. All they want is to feel safe and loved.

We're seeking a special home for these amazing dogs who have been through so much. They need a person or family with the patience and loving touch to help them overcome their fears. They also need a securely fenced area where they can romp and play with each other. This play time is crucial for building their confidence.

Nikki and Juno have great doggie social skills and they LOVE their daily play group at the shelter. They'll play with any dog we introduce them to!

They are approximately 4 years old. For more information about adopting Nikki and Juno, please give the folks at the shelter a call at 667-8088!
