Out with the old, in with the new!

The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is discontinuing written driver’s exams for a new electronic test. A federal grant paid for the new touch screen testing system. Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap will be introducing the new system today in a press conference.

The new system has features that make testing easier. The system is user friendly and comes in different languages. The new system also randomly generates the tests, so no two tests are the same.

The testing system will soon be available for motorcycle license tests.
