Nova Star Ferry Maiden Voyage To Nova Scotia Departs Tonight

Today is a big day for the cities of Portland and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia as the Nova Star Ferry departs tonight for the very first voyage.

With such amenities as three restaurants, four bars, luxury sleeping cabins, a casino, a spa and places to shop, the ten hour trip should be quite pleasurable!  You can bring your vehicle with on board with you so that you can explore Nova Scotia.  Heck, you can even book an on board kennel so that you can bring your pet with you.

The ferry is 528 feet long and can carry 1,200 passengers.  Daily trips depart from Portland at 9pm and arrive in Yarmouth the following morning at 8.  The return trip departs Nova Scotia at 10am and arrives in Portland at 7pm.

Nova Star is currently offering a 20% discount when you book your trip before June 15th, and through out 2014 children under 18 when traveling with a family travel free.
