UPDATE: Shorty after 6 p.m., Old Town police announced that Natalee Cote was found safe in Hampton, N.H. Her stepfather, 44-year-old Chris Julian, is in custody.

Police say they received a tip from New Hampshire that led to the pair at a hotel in that state.

Earlier on Tuesday, Old Town Police announced they were searching for 15-year-old Natalee Cote, whom they say left willingly with her stepfather but could be in danger.

Police said Cote was picked up from school by Julian on Monday. However, upon learning more information Tuesday, police say they fear she could be in danger.

Police say Cote's mother determined several items, including a debit card, were missing from the home. Julian reportedly withdrew money from an ATM and then made a purchase at a store in Bangor.

Cote is described as a white female, 5’4, 150-160 pounds, less then ear length dark brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans, black sweatshirt and DC sneakers.

Police have obtained a temporary warrant for Julian for criminal restraint.

Julian is described as a white male between 5'9" and 6' tall. He has a shaved head, brown goatee, is wearing glasses, heavy set with several tattoos including left arm tattoos from his left hand knuckles to his shoulder. He is currently wearing an air cast on his foot.

In a Facebook post, police say they were last seen driving a black Mercury Mountaineer, license plate 1874MD.
