Auburn native Colin Britt was part of the 3 Penny Chorus and Orchestra when they wowed the "America's Got Talent" judges with an unusual version of the hit pop song, "Call Me Maybe." The group will now head to Las Vegas for the next round of competition!

Britt and his friend, Arienne Abela commented that they made the unusual musical choice because the song had been stuck in their heads all summer. And the judges loved it, even after rolling their eyes when the orchestra members began taking the stage.

As a matter of fact, when they walked out, Howard Stern was heard muttering, "I don't like orchestral music." Once the performance was done, however, Stern gave the group a standing ovation and quipped that the prize money wouldn't be worth much once they split it up between them.

Here's a video of their performance and, just for comparison, a video of Carly Rae Jepsen's original version of the song. Congrats to this Edward Little graduate and his fellow musicians...and good luck in the next round!
