There will be plenty of fun and information this Saturday at Center Drive School in Orrington, as the town holds a Spring fair and Safety Day. It's a great chance for the kids to have some fun and for the whole family to learn more about law enforcement and search & rescue!

The Spring fair will feature bounce houses from the Maine Jump, a silent auction, games, vendors, a cake walk, photo booth, hands and hair makeover shop, and much more! Admission is free to the Spring fair, which runs from 11am to 2pm at Center Drive School.

The Safety Day gets underway at 10 and lasts until 2 at the school. There will be demonstrations of the JAWS of Life at 10:30am and 1pm by Holden Fire, Demonstrations with a State Police K-9 unit, Orrington's emergency vehicles will be on display, and they will be giving away free smoke detectors (while they last!).

Orrington Fire and Rescue's Public Educator Shellie Tourtillotte says the hope is to make residents more comfortable, so that "if they need anything they can come to the police department or the fire department."

The fun and education takes place this Saturday at the Center Drive School, 17 School Street (off Center Drive) in Orrington.

Oh look, spring and tires are a great combination!
