Who knew when the New England Patriots led 20-10 at halftime that they would never score another point and would lose to Miami 33-20. And so it was on NFL opening day.

Tom Brady finished the day 29-for-56, good for 249 yards and a touchdown but the stats don't really show how ineffective the offense was in the 2nd half. Plus, he was sacked three time.

Five different Patriots rushed the ball but for less than 100 total yards.

Meanwhile, Miami got 134 yards rushing and a TD from Knowshon Moreno. An 18-for-32, 178 yards and 2 TDs day from QB Ryan Tannehill. Plus, four field goals from Caleb Sturgis.

Julian Edleman led the Patriots in receiving with 6 catches for 95 yard.

TE Rob Gronkowski caught 4 for 40 yards and a TD in his return to game action.
