Paws On Parade Is This Saturday On Bangor Waterfront

Grab a leash and your best doggie friend and walk for the Bangor Humane Society!

The 21st annual "Paws On Parade" is the Bangor Humane Society's biggest fundraising event of the year and it takes place this Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Bangor's Waterfront! The event runs until 1.

It's a mile and a half walk around Bangor's Waterfront to raise awareness and show support for homeless animals and to promote pet companionship.  The Bangor Humane Society is hoping to raise $70,000 to continue to care for animals brought to the shelter.

Over 700 people and their dogs participate every year.

There will be venders, contests and prizes, and a "runway of adoptable dogs" for you to select your new best friend from!
