A pedestrian was injured Thursday evening when he was hit by a passing car in Bangor.

WFVX-TV reports the incident happened at around 5:45 p.m. on the Griffin Road. A man who was crossing the road in heavy traffic was struck by a passing motorist. The man was not in a crosswalk. Poor visibility is being blamed for the collision and it's unclear who was at fault.

There's no word on the identities of those involved or how badly the man was hurt.
