The Knox County Sheriff's Office has released a pencil sketch of a woman suspected in connection with a string of burglaries.

The sketch was posted on the department's Facebook page, with a request for any information about her identity. She is suspected of being connected to a home invasion in the town of Union last Wednesday evening.

Investigators say the woman knocked on the door of the victim's home on the Sennebec Road shortly before the robbery and asked for a man by name. A few minutes later, a man knocked on the door and then forced his way in, assaulting the 22-year-old woman who was there. The man allegedly stole money and several items, with a combined value in the thousands of dollars. No weapon was displayed in the burglary that happened at around 6:30 in the evening.

Officials say they believe several car burglaries that happened the same night to vehicles in Union and Appleton are related to the home invasion. Deputies have several leads and the investigation is ongoing.

The pencil sketch was done by sketch artist, Detective Dan Reed of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office. Anyone who thinks they may have information about this crime or the identity of the woman in the sketch is asked to contact Lieutenant Reggie Walker by emailing rwalker@knoxcountymaine.gov or by calling (207) 975-1703 with message or text.
