Pet Weekend at Fort Knox Historic State Park Starts Saturday

This two day event will focus less on breed and more about the uniqueness and personality of the animal. Saturday July 18th will be dog day and Sunday the 19th is all other pets day. Goats, rats, a fish, anything goes!

Both days there will be contests held in the Amphitheater with categories that include best pet costume, most looks like owner, best pet trick, cutest, ugliest and most exotic pet. Ribbons will be awarded to winners in each pet show category.

On Saturday, July 18th, dog day, there will be a dog agility demonstration in front of the Fort, starting at noon.

Sunday is all other pets day for the more unusual critters. Anything goes as long as you pick up their mess! This day will hold contests and awards as well.

There is no fee to enter your pet into the show. Regular Fort admission fees apply.
