Pink Ribbon Motorcycle Plates Soon?

The popular breast cancer awareness license plate could soon be seen on motorcycles in Maine.

The Maine Cancer Foundation has been fielding requests for the pink plates over the past few months. However the 70 pre-orders isn't nearly enough to bring the plates to production. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles requires at least 500 pre-orders to force production.

Rep. Meredith Strang Burgess says Mainers have until the end of the year to pre-order their motorcycle plate. If the 500 orders are collected, she says it will take about three months for the plates to be completed.
