Pitbull Bites Maine Boy – Who’s At Fault? [POLL]

Earlier this week a 5-year-old boy from Brownfield was visiting relatives in Fryeburg and the family's pit bull bit him in the face.

The boy had been petting the dog when it turned on him and bit him multiple times. No adults saw what happened.

The dog was not up to date on its vaccinations, so it was euthanized. Results for rabies came back negative yesterday after it was tested at a state lab.

The boy is recovering at a hospital in Portland.

The family from Fryeburg had the dog since it was a puppy and they say that it never displayed such aggression before.
