Bangor Police have arrested a suspect in a double stabbing Tuesday at Bangor Mall. Both victims sustained similar non-life threatening injuries.

Police were called to Bangor Mall to the report of a stabbing at just after 11:30 a.m.Tuesday. The responding officer found a woman who had a single stab wound to the right shoulder. She was taken to EMMC where she was treated and released.

A second call was received just before noon from Bangor Mall of a woman being stabbed in the JCPenney store. She also sustained a non-life threatening stab wound to the shoulder area. Like the first victim, she was taken to EMMC and treated.

In both cases, the suspect was described as a while female in her 20's wearing a grey skirt. Police say the victims did not know the suspect and that these appear to have been random acts.

Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, Detective  Bowering from the Farmington Police called with information about the stabbing. As a result, Elizabeth Ellis, 34, of Virginia, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Police ask that anyone who was in the Bangor Mall area between 11 a.m. and noon and may have witnessed anything related to this case is asked to call the Bangor Police at 947-7384.
