A suspected meth lab was discovered inside a Danforth apartment after fire damaged the building on Monday, said Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Maine DEA agents have charged Lynette Terry, 43, also known as Lynette Gray, with unlawful operation of a methamphetamine lab.

The lab was discovered in a closet inside her apartment on Doc Day Lane after firefighters were called to the building on Monday morning, McCausland said.

The State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze was the result of alleged drug making activity.

A second occupant of the apartment, Tyrone Rollins, 28, was arrested on two outstanding warrants, including being a habitual offender and failure to pay a fine.

Both Terry and Rollins were taken to the Washington County Jail.

The State Fire Marshal's Office plans to consult with the district attorney’s office on whether arson charges will be filed as a result of the alleged drug activity.
