Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Old Town Accident

Police have identified the victim of a tragic accident in Old Town today.

Tamela Glen, 54, was walking home from a relative's residence when she was struck from behind by a Nissan SUV on Poplar Street in Old Town, police said Thursday evening.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle attempted to render aid and immediately called 911. Police say dark clothing and poor visibility were factors. No charges are expected.
