Bangor Police have released the identities of two men arrested Wednesday at the site of a meth lab.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says drug agents spent Wednesday afternoon at an apartment house on Pine Street, dismantling a methamphetamine manufacturing operation. Several people had to be evacuated from the building during that process.

The meth lab was found inside the apartment of 33-year-old Brian Hovey. He and 27-year-old Thomas Beaudoin were taken into custody for violating probation by Bangor Police. The lab was discovered when police went to the apartment to check on the two men's bail restrictions. So far, no meth-related charges have been filed as the investigation continues.

This is the MDEA's 10th meth response this year.
