The Penobscot County Sheriff's Department is asking for help from the public in locating an elderly man who hasn't been heard from since yesterday.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department says 68 year Bernard Santerre of Corinth got disoriented while driving on Route 15 in Piscataquis County yesterday afternoon.

Bernard Santerre is operating a Black 2010 Kia Sorrento with an Alabama registration.

He managed to call 911 to say his vehicle was stuck on a dirt road but he didn’t know his location.

It is believed that Bernard Santerre is possibly in the Guilford/Abbott area.

A search is being conducted by the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and the Maine Warden Service.  If you have any contact with this vehicle or Bernard Santerre, please contact the Penobscot Sheriff’s Office at 207-945-4636.
