Police Find Body On Missing Fairfield Woman’s Property [UPDATE]

UPDATE: Police have found human remains on the property, according to WLBZ 2. Police are not identifying the body.

State Police and the Warden Service began searching the property of the missing Fairfield woman Tuesday morning.

Valerie Tieman, 34, has been missing since Aug. 30, when she reportedly disappeared from the parking lot of a Skowhegan Walmart.

The property police are searching is located at 628 Norridgewock Road (Route 139) in Fairfield. The search began late morning in a wooded area surrounding the house where Tieman lived with her husband Luc, according to a news release from Maine State Police.

An update on the search efforts is expected later in the afternoon.
