State and local law enforcement are searching today for any clues as to the whereabouts of a woman who hasn't been seen in 10 years.

Marilyn Lehan moved to Eastport in 2002 when she and her husband bought a house on Clark Street. They lived there until 2004 when Marilyn disappeared. The house was eventually foreclosed on and her husband moved to California.

The woman's family says it wasn't unusual for long periods of time to elapse between communications from Marilyn. And it was possible that she had moved away and just hadn't contacted anyone. But, eventually, their concern caused them to report her as missing in 2013.

State police dog teams searched the Clark Street property yesterday to no avail. Today, State and local police will begin searching the 14 acres of land behind the property to try to find any clues that could lead them to Marilyn Lehan.

Police say that, although she only lived in Eastport for two years, she was very active in the Catholic Church. She's now 59 years old, 5'9" tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. The picture (above) is from the 1990's.

Anyone who thinks they may have information about Marilyn's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Micah Perkins, at the State Police in Bangor, 1-800-432-7381, or the Eastport Police.
