Police are asking for the public's help identifying and locating a suspect in a bank robbery that took place Saturday afternoon.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says police responded to Camden National Bank in Randolph just before 2 Saturday afternoon to a report that the bank had been robbed by an unarmed white male. The bank is located in the Goggins IGA supermarket. Police say the suspect was dressed in a dark jacket with a baseball cap, hood, and glasses.

The suspect produced a note demanding money and claiming that he had a gun, although it was never displayed. The man left with money and was last seen getting into a white 4-door vehicle heading toward Gardiner on Water Street.

None of the bank employees were harmed during the robbery. Deputies from the Kennebec County Sheriff's office assisted at the scene along with Gardiner Police and the Maine Forest Service.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the Maine State Police at 624-7076.
