Another thing awesome about Portland!

The study examined quality of life and minor league baseball experience in each town. Crime rate, unemployment rate, disposable income and entertainment where all factors in the quality of life portion. Minor league baseball experience was determined by the team's win percentage, stadium experience and minor league class.

Portland scored 97.47 for quality of life and 99.37 for team! Portland is the only city in the study to score in the top ten in both categories. Portland also had the 16th highest disposable income, and 15th lowest unemployment rate.

The Sea Dogs, who've called Portland home since 1994, are the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The Dogs had their best record in franchise history this year. They won the Eastern Division title, before falling in the first round of the playoffs.
