Portsmouth Dude Wants a Statue of Ronnie James Dio in Town

A dude from Portsmouth, New Hampshire is petitioning to erect a statue of the rock god Dio! So much awesome! Ronnie James Dio was from the 603.

WGME says the dude's name is Brian Kelly. He wants the statue in Prescott Park. He says "We've gotten more than 500 signatures in 24 hours which is for a town this size is pretty good and people are excited about it. It seems to have actually gotten some traction so we're very happy with how it's going so far."

Dio was in the bands Elf, Black Sabbath, Rainbow and had a successful solo career.

He died in 2010.
