Emera Maine has announced a planned power outage for the Bar Harbor area  between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Wed., July 23. 

Crews will need to de-energize a transmission line in Bar Harbor to make a repair due to damage from a fallen tree related to tropical storm Arthur. Areas affected are from Young’s Corner Substation on the Eagle Lake Road to Jackson Lab, all of in town and out Eden Street to the Bluffs and Otter creek, according to a news release from Emera Maine.
