A Greek Orthodox priest from Bangor remains behind bars, after being accused of taking video of a woman in the shower without her consent or knowledge. New evidence shows that he's been convicted of sex charges in the past.

Bangor Police originally went to the home of Adam Metropoulos, age 52, at the request of a woman who was staying with him. She told police she was taking a shower when she noticed a camera in a basket across the room, pointed at her. She grabbed the camera, removed the memory card, and went to police.

A subsequent investigation allegedly turned up child pornography on the priest's home computer. Metropoulis, who's the priest at Bangor's St. George Greek Orthodox Church, was arrested for invasion of privacy and possession of child pornography.

Police now say that Metropoulos was previously convicted of sexual assault in Michigan in 1983. He's currently being held on $10,000 bail and is due in court today.
