Celebrate Record Store Day with R.E.M.'s bassist!

Saturday, April 19th is National Record Store Day. In celebration R.E.M. has a new box set hitting shelves. The four-LP set contains R.E.M.’s 1991 and 2001 MTV Unplugged live performances. Also included is 11 songs that never aired on the shows!

Bassist and back-up vocalist, Mike Mills, will drop by the Scarborough Bull Moose Music location on the Payne Road. He'll be signing copy's of the new box set titled 'R.E.M: Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions.'

Word on the street is Bruce Springsteen will release four new tracks on Record Store Day. Rolling Stone says 'Three of the tracks – “American Beauty,” “Mary Mary” and “Hey Blue Eyes” – were recorded during the High Hopes sessions with producer Ron Aniello, but ultimately discarded. The origin of the other song, “Hurry Up Sundown,” is unknown.'
