Almost two-million pounds of "ready to eat" chicken products have been recalled because the meat may have been under cooked, which could result in bacterial contamination.

The products were distributed by National Steak and Poultry, of Owasso, Oklahoma, between August 20th and November 30th, of this year.  They were eventually recalled because a food service worker called a said that it appeared the products were under cooked, according to the USDA.  The products had been shipped nationwide.

They include:

  • Fully Cooked, Diced, Grilled Boneless Chicken Breast Meat with Rib Meat with Lot code 100416, and Case Code: 70020. 5 lb. bags packed 2 bags per case.
  • Hormel Natural Choice 100% Natural No Preservatives Fully Cooked Roasted Chicken Breast Strips with Rib Meat Natural Smoke Flavor Added. 5 lb. bags packed 2 bags per case; the product is labeled with lot code 100416, and Case code 702113.
