The Boston Red Sox have officially put manager Bobby Valentine out of his misery.  After a more than turbulent and more than losing season, Valentine was let go, thus voiding his two year five million dollar contract.

Ben Cherrington, executive VP and General Manager of the Boston Red Sox will now begin the search for a new clubhouse manager.  He also has his work cut out for him as he also begins a rebuilding of the team.

The Red Sox ended the season with a record of 69 and 93 and were blown out by the New York Yankees in the final game last night.
