Bangor Police are offering a reward in connection with two burglaries at J.G. Pawn Shop on Center Street in Bangor.

Sergeant Tim Cotton says to collect the reward any information must lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the thefts at the pawn shop located at 99 Center Street in Bangor. The shop was robbed on September 30th, and again during the pre-dawn hours Wednesday.

The owner says that, between the two incidents, approximately 20 handguns were stolen and police say the circumstances were nearly identical. In each incident the suspect broke into the same case, removed the guns on display, and put them in a duffel bag before fleeing. Bangor Police told the BDN that it's possible the guns are being smuggled out of the state for use by criminal organizations.

If you have information about these crimes you're urged to call the Bangor Police at (207) 947-7384, Extension 5716, or call the same number and leave an anonymous message on the tip line by selecting option #6.
