It's hard to believe it was 30 years ago today that America first witnessed Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear. It was a role that turned Cruise from a newcomer into a person-to-watch.

The concept of the movie was solid. A teenager, left on his own by his vacationing parents, starts out with a pretty classic weekend of rebellion, and ends with a money-making enterprise promoting prostitution. The music was awesome, the cinematography was beautiful, and the acting was top-notch.

But it was this iconic scene that people remembered much more than the plot. Sure, some of the one-liners ("Who's the U-Boat Commander?") were memorable. But it was the dance that was imitated over and over again, even by Presidential son Ron Reagan on "Saturday Night Live."

Did you know that Tom Cruise made a modification from the original dance? The script called for bare feet. But Tom told Yahoo! that he kept falling down, so he added the socks. Obviously his instincts were correct, because 30 years later we're still laughing over this routine. And...well....drooling a bit! Watch it again and enjoy!
