Talk about a wonderful addition to your Holidays. The botanical gardens in Boothbay have been lighting up for a few years now and it is no small feat and done almost completely by volunteers.

The group in Boothbay start stringing lights in September and they say that over the 5 acres of gardens there are approximately 15 miles of lights for you to enjoy.  The display is made up of about 650,000 LED lights so they are also economical to run.

Their webpage reminds visitors that this is a outdoor walking display so dress warmly and have on comfortable footwear. They say it will take a few hours to walk through and they have both kids activities and a restaurant.
