Billy Joel has found a great way to celebrate his 65th birthday.  He has already planned a big concert party in his new home at Madison Square Gardens and now he’s added to that giving back to the animal shelter that gave him his best friend Rosie the pug. Rosie was adopted back in the summer of 2012 from the North Shore Animal League, the world‘s largest no kill shelter run by the wife of Howard Stern, Beth.

According to New York’s Newsday a portion of the proceeds of Billy’s birthday concert will go to adding a second floor to the NSAL’s main office and add to their animal care facility.

Billy Joel’s birthday show will be the 5th in his continuing monthly show offers at Madison Square Garden.  He says as long as tickets continue to sell he’ll keep the shows coming.
