Ronald McDonald Gets a Hip New Makeover [VIDEO]

Ronald McDonald is getting a makeover! The makeup is staying, as are the oversized shoes. But his clothes are getting an update and his hair is a little sleeker, getting him ready for his social media debut.

Ronald McDonald is one of the most enduring icons of my lifetime. Although he's gone through a few updates over the years, his basic look never changes. Red and yellow clothes, red hair, and big shoes. And that's not going to change.

But the new Ronald's clothes are a little more 'hip,' his shoelaces are yellow and over-sized, and his hair is less clownish. All in all, I think, it's a pretty good improvement, bringing Ronald into the 21st century!

It's all being done because Ronald is going to be used more and more in the restaurant's advertising, especially on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
