One of Maine's most popular bands will rock Bar Harbor next month!

On Friday night November 9th, the Rustic Overtones will take the stage at the historic 1932 Criterion Theatre on Cottage Street.  The Portland based band was once praised by David Bowie, and of course that means a lot!

The Rustic Overtones are a seven-piece rock band and their unique version of indie rock is strongly influenced by soul music, garage punk, jazz and psychedelic music of the 60's and 70's.

We’re really looking forward to the opportunity to present such a well-known and well-respected Maine band on our stage,” said Criterion Executive Director Amy Roeder in a recent press release. "Bringing Rustic to Bar Harbor was the perfect choice to kick off November!”

Opening for Rustic Overtones will be SeepeopleS, also based out of Portland. In 2016 the band was nominated as one of the “Best Live Acts” at the 2016 New England Music Awards.
