Slugger, the Portland Sea Dogs mascot, has quite a journey lined up for him and it will all be on foot, or paw, we really can't tell.  Although we do know that Slugger will be walking for a cause, to raise money and awareness for Tourette's syndrome.

Tourettes is a disorder that creates "tics", which make people experience involuntary sudden, repetitive movements while creating sounds of some sort.

Slugger will depart Fenway Park in Boston at noon on Sunday May 4th, and then make his way the 115 miles to Hadlock Field in Portland, the home of the Portland Sea Dogs, by Thursday May 8th.

It's Sluggers 20th birthday and he's hoping to raise $20,000.  By the way, his official title is "Director of Crowd Entertainment"!
