Kiss will be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame on April 10th, although Paul Stanley isn't all that impressed.  Recently Stanley called the Hall's nomination process "tainted, corrupted and distorted".  Over the years Kiss had been passed over many times before finally being nominated to the Hall by it's board and the bands many fans worldwide.

Of course Kiss is one of the greatest selling bands in history!  Concerts, records and merchandise sales combined have made millions!  Rock and roll connoisseurs may not be big fans of Kiss, but someone sure as hell is.

Which makes me wonder, about The Monkees.

The television series created back in the 1960s featured Michael Nesmith, Micki Donlenz, Peter Tork and Davy Jones. The band was fashioned after The Beatles. Their songs were written by some of the best in the business, Neil Diamond, Carole King and Boyce & Hart.

At their peak in 1967,The Monkees out sold both The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. The three surviving members toured last year. Davy Jones passed away in 2012.

The Monkees played the Bangor Auditorium on November 22, 1986.  Were you there?
